Privacy policy

Who we are

PermitRadius is operated by [Legal entity name], a company registered in British Columbia, Canada (“we”, “us”). Contact: privacy@permitradius.ca, [mailing address].

Information we collect from you

  • Account and billing: name, work email, company name, service postal code, trade, plan. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers.
  • Consent records: when you request a sample, join a waitlist or subscribe, we record the time, form and IP address to document consent under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
  • Usage: email opens and link clicks in our Monday emails, and basic site analytics without cross-site tracking.

Public permit data

Our product is built from municipal building permit records and open data. These records may contain the name of a company that applied for a permit. We remove names and contact details of individuals before storage or publication, in line with the Personal Information Protection Act (BC). If you believe we hold your personal information from a permit record, email privacy@permitradius.ca and we will remove it.

How we use your information

  • To deliver the weekly list you subscribed to and manage your account.
  • To send product updates and offers you have consented to. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, honoured within 10 business days as CASL requires (usually immediately).
  • To comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse.

Sharing

We share data only with processors that run the service: [Cloudflare (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email)]. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

Account data is kept while your subscription is active and for [24] months after, then deleted. Consent records are kept for [3] years as evidence of consent.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing privacy@permitradius.ca. You may complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
